Hikes are usually scheduled Tuesday evenings and on Saturday & Sunday.  Additional hikes are held during the day on either Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday.

Thursday July 2 - Wandering Around Wil-O-Way
MeetHansen Golf Course parking lot, on Underwood Parkway. Underwood Parkway is just
               east of Hwy. 100, off of Watertown Plank Rd, (left turn).  Watch for Underwood
               Parkway sign on the left.

              Hwy ZZ, just East of Hwy 67.

Tuesday July 7 - Celebrating the U.S.A.
MeetMSOE at the corner of Broadway and Highland.  Parking:  Street parking on Highland,
               Milwaukee, and Broadway.

NoteDress up in your finest Red, White, and Blue hiking attire to celebrate our great country
              and its history.  After reciting the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of
              Independence, we’ll head out for the Veterans’ Memorial and Veterans’ Memorial Park.
              We’ll see the Great Circus Parade show grounds from afar as we continue a 5-6 mile
              hike filled with interesting reviews of U.S.A. historical events.   Note: city streets with
              hills, some steps.  Restrooms will be available at the start of the hike only.

NoteThe 15th Annual Greendale Garden Gazing Walk takes place this day and features
              demonstrations by Master Gardeners, refreshment areas as well as beautiful gardens. It is

Tuesday July 14 - Eisenbahn State Trail, West Bend
MeetRegner Park. Take Hwy 45 north to Hwy 33 West Bend. Take Hwy 33 east to
              Hwy 144. Take Hwy 144 (Main St.) north about ¼ mile.  The park is on the left.

NoteRestrooms are available at the start.  The crushed stone trail is level; city streets are hilly!
              On this beautiful hike you’ll see the Milwaukee River, a labyrinth garden; Regner Park’s
              swimming hole, and the North Point Wildlife area.

Wednesday July 15 - Jackson Park
MeetJackson Park.  Park on Kinnickinnic Parkway just east of 43rd St., in front of the
              pavilion at the lagoon.

Saturday July 18 - Mary Krueger Park
MeetMary Krueger Park. Columbia Blvd., 1/2 mile south of Bluemound Road; Columbia is
               the first road east of Elm Grove Road.  Turn on the west side of Bluemound Bowl – the
               park borders I-94 on the south.

Sunday July 19 - Wehr in Summer
MeetGus’ Mexican Cantina, 6520 S. 108th Street, Franklin, WI Take Hwy. 100 south past
               College Avenue until you see a large Ford sign.  Gus’s is across the street from the Ford
               dealership.

NoteWe’ll walk some paved streets and then into Whitnall Park through some wooded areas.

Thursday July 23 - Port Washington Lakefront 
MeetUpper Lake Park in Port Washington (uppermost parking lot on top of bluff). Go north
              on I 43 to Hwy 33 exit, turn right and go east, turns into Grand Avenue.  Go east all the
              way until downtown, then turn left and go north on Franklin St. about 4 blocks to
              Jackson St.  Turn right (east) and follow signs to Upper Lake Park.

Friday July 24 - Around the Lake
MeetSharon Lynn Wilson Center in  Mitchell Park, Brookfield.

Saturday July 25 - Sandy Knoll Park in West Bend
MeetSandy Knoll Park. Directions from Hwy 45:  Exit on Hwy. 33 ( Washington St ).  East
              on Washington St through West Bend to Trenton Rd --there is a BP station on the
              southwest side of Hwy 33 on Trenton Rd.   Go north on Trenton Rd to Wallace Lake
              Rd.   Turn east on Wallace Lake Rd.   The park is on the left immediately after the turn.

NotePaths are either wide mowed prairie or woodland paths. No hills.

Sunday July 26 - Off-Roading Whitnall Park
MeetWhitnall Park Golf Course parking lot (on S. 92nd Street just north of Rawson Ave.).

NoteWe will take trails through the Ross Lodge area, Wehr Nature Center and Whitnall Park.
              Sturdy boots/shoes recommended. There will be bathrooms at beginning in golf course
              club house and at Wehr Nature Center later in hike.

Tuesday July 28 - Hiking the Lakefront
MeetMcKinley Marina parking lot across from Alterra Coffee on Lincoln Memorial Drive.
              (This is the parking lot for boat slips A-D).

NoteWe’ll hike a portion of the Oak Leaf Trail, Lakeshore State Park, and along the
               lakefront.  There will be two hills and a set of stairs.

MeetCupertino Park (east end of Iron St) park at north end of South Shore Yacht Club
               parking area.

Saturday August 1 - Ozaukee Bike Trail - Thiensville Hike
MeetLibby Montana 's parking lot.  Park on the far north side of the lot. Libby Montana 's is
               located at 5616 W Donges Bay Road in Mequon between Wauwatosa Road and
              Green Bay Road.

NoteBathroom stop midway through hike.  There is an optional supper at Libby Montana 's
              after the hike. If the weather is nice, we will eat on their patio!

Sunday August 2 - Seven Bridges
MeetGrant Park Golf Course.  Park in the lot closest to the club house at the Grant Park Golf
               Course. You can enter Grant Park at E. College Ave and S. Lake Drive, enter the park
               at the park sign (turning left into park), and follow the road south to the club house.

NoteThere are hills and stairs at Seven Bridges and the beach is rocky.  Bring bug spray.

Tuesday August 4 - Mainsails, Jibs, Masts and Booms!

NoteSail away on a summer hike through Lake Park, along Lake Michigan, and past the
              fantastic sailboats moored in Milwaukee’s marinas.  Learn a little about sailboats, sailing
              skills, and Lake Michigan shipwrecks along the way too!  City streets, park paths, steep
              hills and steps.  Restroom info:  available at the start/end of the hike only

Thursday August 6 - Greendale Hike
MeetParking lot on Paring Street in Greendale. Grange Ave is under construction this summer.
              Go south on Loomis Road  to Ramsey (fire station on corner).  Go two blocks west on
              Ramsey to Broad Street and turn right.  Go three blocks north on Broad to stop sign
              (Schoolway).  Turn left and go one block to Parking Street.  Turn right on Parking.  Lot
              is on the left.

Friday August 7 - Elm Grove
MeetElm Grove Village Hall (13600 Juneau Blvd).

Saturday August 8 - Drumlin Trail
MeetAt beginning of trail in parking lot at corner of Prairie Avenue and College Avenue,
              Waukesha. Take Greenfield Avenue (Hwy. 59) all the way to Waukesha – ends at East
              Avenue.  Turn left to College, then right to Prairie Avenue.

NoteBathroom available at beginning of hike in the sanctuary building.  Leisurely hike on
              blacktop trail. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, water.  Optional lunch afterwards at the
              Railway Station Restaurant on Grand Avenue.

MeetWisconsin Avenue Park, 10300 W. Wisconsin Avenue.

Tuesday August 11 - Hot August Night -Cool Lakeshore Hike
MeetDoctor’s Park.  From Brown Deer Road take Lakeshore Dr. south to Dean Road.
              Drive east on Dean Road to the parking lot at Doctor’s Park

MeetPettit Ice Center.  84th St., just south of I-94 .

MeetCushing Park. Take I-94 to C. C north to Main Street.  Main Street west to Cushing

MeetBrown Deer Park & Ride lot, just West of I-43 and South of Brown Deer Road, or
              Parking lot in Sheboygan  -  I-43 North to Exit 126A.  Hwy 23 East (becomes ERIE
              Street).  Turn right on 6th street (South) and left into parking lot at River Front Dr. and
              Virginia St .  Note: River Front Dr. is a continuation of 6th.

MeetBrown Deer Park & Ride lot, just West of I-43 and South of Brown Deer Rd., or
               parking lot in Port Washington .  I-43, Exit on Hwy 33.  Turn left in town near Smith
              Brothers.  Right on Jackson St, just before steps to church.  Turn left near lake and drive
              past band shell. Turn right and proceed up hill to second parking lot.

MeetBehind Culver's restaurant. Take Hwy 45 north to West Bend Exit 71.  Go west on
              Hwy 33 (Washington St. ) to Culver's ( 2350 W. Washington St )

NoteWe'll walk the IAT from Culver's to Glacial Blue Hills Park, explore some side trails
               and return to Culver's.
