Hikes are usually scheduled Tuesday evenings and on Saturday & Sunday.  Additional hikes are held during the day on either Wednesday, Thursday and/or Friday.

WALKWAYS AND PATHS OF KOHLER AND SHEBOYGAN FALLS
Meet: In front of Woodlake Shopping Center 725 Woodlake Rd, Kohler.

Directions: From I-43 going north take Hwy. 23 west out of Sheboygan and go 1/2 mile to Kohler exit. Go south (right) into Kohler and meet in front of Woodlake Market a short distance on your right.

Mostly flat terrain except for 1 moderate hill along the Sheboygan River in Sheboygan Falls. Bring a bag lunch.  Weather permitting, we will eat lunch at a park in Sheboygan Falls overlooking the dam.  Attractions are Kohler Design Center, Waelderhaus and American Club.

Meet: Parking lot at end of road. Directions: Take Hwy. 41 (north) to Holy Hill Road, west to Friess Lake Road, south to Glacial Hills (1/4 mile on left).  Park in lot at the end of the road.

HIKING THE OAK LEAF TRAIL FRANKLIN
Meet: Trail parking lot located on east side of 68th street between Loomis and Rawson. Approx. ¼ mile north of Polish Center of Wisconsin 6941 So. 68th St. Entrance to lot directly across from cemetery.

Trail is paved, level with woods and prairies. We won’t be walking roads or crossing streets.   Sunset is 6:15 and we will be walking about 1 ½ hours. Flashlight recommended. There are no bathroom facilities available.

Meet: MJ Stevens Pub and Restaurant, 5260 Aurora Road, Hartford 53027

Located between Slinger and Allenton, Wisconsin off Hwy 41. Exit Hwy K
(exit #68) West to Addison Rd, (frontage road) North on Addison Rd which wraps around MJ Stevens and turns into Aurora Rd.

LAKE GENEVA SHORT HIKE
Meet: Hales Corners P & R (east of Hwy. 100 and south of I-43 interchange); or, if driving direct:  Williams Bay.

Directions:  I-43 S.W. to Hwy. 67 South (Exit 25).  Where Hwy. 67 turns right at lake, turn left on Geneva St., about two blocks to parking area on left across from restrooms.

From Williams Bay we will shuttle everyone to Lake Geneva and hike back to Williams Bay.  Drivers will be shuttled back to Lake Geneva after the hike to retrieve their vehicles and return to Williams Bay.  Bring water and snack, if desired.  There are several places to have a late lunch after the hike (optional).

LAKE GENEVA MID HIKE

Meet: Hales Corners P & R (east of Hwy. 100 and south of I-43 interchange); or, if driving direct:  In McDonald’s parking lot, 104 N. Wells St., Lake Geneva, WI 53127.

Directions: Driving to Lake Geneva: Take I-43 southwest to Hwy. 12 and Hwy 12 southeast (left) to Lake Geneva. Exit 50 West/120 South and turn right. Continue about 1 mile to McDonald’s, on your left.

LAKE GENEVA CIRCLE TOUR

Meet: Hales Corners P & R (east of Hwy. 100 and south of I-43 interchange); or, if driving direct: Lake Geneva Library, 918 West Main St., Lake Geneva, WI 53147.

Hike will be on Lake Geneva shore path with restrooms available at Bigfoot Park, the boat landing on the south side, Fontana, and William’s Bay. We will be going counter-clockwise around the lake, starting and ending at Lake Geneva.  Halfway point would be Fontana, where we can eat lunch. Bring whatever you feel you need:  food, water, pain killers, suicide kit, etc. UNLESS I OFFICIALLY CANCEL, THIS HIKE WILL GO ON AS IT IS A TRADITION!

 

We will be going counter-clockwise this year:  to Williams Bay, Fontana, Big Foot, and back to Lake Geneva.  Rumor has it that counter-clockwise is shorter than clockwise, so it will be easier.

Meet: Nicolet Beach Overflow parking lot. Follow Shore Road/Bluff Road signs to Nicolet Beach. Park in Overflow lot, not main beach lot.

Directions: Take I-43 north to Green Bay. On the northeast side of Green Bay, exit onto State Hwy. 57 north. Drive about 37 miles to County Hwy. PD; go north for about 2.4 miles to the park entrance.  Estimated drive from Milwaukee is 2 hrs. and 45 minutes.

MAUTHE LAKE and the ICE AGE TRAIL

Meet: At Good Hope Park and Ride Lot at 9:00 a.m. to carpool.  (Lot is located on south side of Good Hope Rd. just west of Hwy. 45.) Mary and Sue will meet the carpool. Those driving directly to Mauthe Lake should meet at the parking lot next to Mauthe Lake.

Directions: Take Hwy. 45 north to Hwy. 28 (Kewaskum). On Hwy. 28 go right (east) to CTH S; take S north (left) to CTH GGG; go north (left) on GGG to Mauthe Rec Area. Drive on the park road to the parking area at the lake.

We will hike the trail around Mauthe Lake and out and back on the Ice Age Trail – no shuttle needed. Bring a snack and water. Wear waterproof hiking boots and dress for the weather. The trail around the lake is likely to be wet.

Meet: MSOE Student Center, 1025 N. Broadway, corner of Broadway and Highland. Parking: street parking on Broadway and Highland Avenues.

Urban hike through Milwaukee’s spectacular downtown, along its waterfronts, and in its Lower East Side and Third Ward neighborhoods. The Last Tuesday Series departs from MSOE and follows a different route each month. Restrooms available at the start of the hike only. Routes for this yearlong series are on paved streets with some stairs and hills. Back by popular demand, completion, tokens will be given to hikers finishing each monthly hike.

Directions:  Take Hwy. 41/45 North and travel past West Bend to Kewaskum. Go north through Kewaskum to Hwy. 67 North.  Turn right on Hwy. 67 North to Ice Age Visitors Center.
