GRAPE-NUTS SUMMIT CHALLENGE HIKE

If you can, wear a purple (or green) shirt for the hike on Tuesday May 28 at Lapham Peak.  You'll receive a sample of cereal and be included in the summit photo which will result in a $500 donation to the Ice Age Trail!

Meet: Hales Corners Park & Ride, East of Hwy 100 just south of I-43. 

Directions from the Park & Ride: Hwy. 43 S.W. to East Troy area, then exit Hwy. 43 to HWY 120 south to Lake Geneva (HWY 120 ends at junction with HWY 12; keep going straight into Lake Geneva) where we will turn west (right) on Geneva street just before HWY 50 to find all day parking.

We will assemble at the corner of Geneva St. and Madison St. and shuttle everyone to Williams Bay where we will start the Lake Shore trail hike.  After the hike the drivers will be shuttled back to Williams Bay to pick up their cars. Optional stop for lunch after the hike in Lake Geneva area.

CEDARBURG TO HISTORIC LIME KILN PARK IN GRAFTON

Meet: In Cedarburg behind Senior Center. (On Hanover street, north of Center & south of Cleveland.)

This walk follows the Ozaukee bike trail and sidewalks to Lime Kiln Park where we will explore the preserved lime kilns, an old steel frame bridge and take in the views of the Milwaukee river. Rest rooms available. Lunch in Cedarburg is an option following the walk.

: IAT Parking Lot on E. Kilbourne Rd. 
Directions: Capitol Dr. (Hwy 190) West to US 16 - continue west on 16 to exit 183 - continue west on frontage road to Co Hwy. E.  Take Co Hwy. E north to E. Kilbourne Rd. (E. Kilbourne Rd. is about Ľ mile north of V V just before crossing railroad tracks). Turn left, drive under railroad overpass and 1/10 mile further to IAT parking lot on the left. Parking is limited, so car pool if you can.

We will be following the Ice Age Trail north as well as scenic old woods roads to Ed's little cabin in the woods where we will have lunch. Rest room available at the cabin. Bring lunch & water. Members of Ed's family and friends will be there to greet us. Oh! and pray for good weather.  They have developed a network of new trails on their property which we will explore after lunch before returning the way we came.
