The Kites On Ice Hike in Madison February 3, 2001 actualized our senses. To see all of the color, form and movement of the kites in the air and on the ground was a sight to spell the winter blahs. To see the dancing close formation kites accompanied by music dispelled whatever tactile displeasure we may have had from the walk to Monona Terrace from Olbrich Garden. To smell and taste the food at the Kabul resturant added to the sense of well-being. There were many "Kodak Moments" and these are but a few. - Jerry Anderson (hike leader)
