A popular hike with the group is one which starts and ends at Ed's cabin. He has extended his hospitality in spring & fall. The weather was wonderful for the October 10, 1999 hike and we had a large turnout. The scenery was gorgeous and the Oconomowoc River was a pretty site for lunch as leaves slowly fell into the current. Once again we enjoyed refreshing glasses of water, wine & treats on the deck after the hike. Ed's fall hike concludes with a visit to the garden and we all had an opportunity to take veggies home.

Everyone ended up in the garden to harvest the last onions, squash, & potatos of the season.
To our surprise, the digging for potatos also unearthed a prize zucchini, cunningly buried in advance by our host!
